I have an idea for my costume:

I'll get a light blue sundress and sew on ribbons and strings of pearls at the straps, like Padmè's last gown in RotS. Then I'll just wear shoes and straighten my hair and pull it up, like this:

Pink that would be awsome (but make sure you bring a jacket last celebration was FREEZING at the convention center. but i love that dress soo pretty can't wait to see all your costumes there.

I'm thinking about buying one off ebay for like $200 pretty steep but after several attempts at a jedi costume which were okay but fell apart quickly and didn't look as good as i wanted i think its time to invest in one and leave the sewing and making to the expert since i am terible at that hehe

I'm going to be dressed up in an Obi-Wan style Jedi tunic, Jedi cloak, boots, a belt, and my purple plastic lightsaber Smile. I might even wear a Padawan braid.

I'm going to do my hair in a padawan braid. Sometimes I go out with a padawan braid in my hair, and people actually notice!

I really like the look and feel of medium weight cotton broadcloth for Jedi tunics and robes. Especially for first costumes and beginners like me, because it's very easy to sew with and on. It's almost always on sale in store and online for very cheap. Smile And there are lots of browns to choose from! Very Happy

Very Happy
I used a cotton based fabric for both the cloak and the tunic. I would recommend going to a cloth store and look through the different types to decide which ones to use(that's what I did).
